Land Development Programs

  • Downtown Occupancy Assistance
    The City of Boise's new Downtown Occupancy Assistance Program helps business owners who want to open, renovate or relocate in downtown Boise. 
  • Project Management
    Project Management services are available for projects that meet specific criteria. Projects in the program have a Project Manager assigned to oversee the project throughout the entire development review process. 

Energize Our Neighborhoods

  • Energize Our Neighborhoods
    Energize Our Neighborhoods is a collaboration between Boise’s residents, public and private partners, and the City of Boise to keep our neighborhoods unique and desirable. This project focuses on aligning community resources to improve livability and make measurable change.
  • Neighborhood Planning
    Boise's Geographic Area Planning (GAP) program assigns city planners a specific geographic area. Planners become familiar with the neighborhood associations and the unique issues facing the area, so they can use that knowledge when reviewing development applications. 
  • Neighborhood Investment Program
    Boise's Neighborhood Investment Program is a partnership with the registered neighborhood associations. The program funds comprehensive neighborhood plans and capital construction projects to help enrich the lives of our citizens, enhance the identity and quality of life in our neighborhoods and encourage a strong sense of community.

Affordable Housing Programs

  • Homeownership
    The City of Boise's Affordable Housing Loan Program assists low-to-moderate income households obtain financing to purchase a Class "A" manufactured home on its own land, construct a new home, or purchase an existing home.
  • Rental Housing
    The City of Boise offers over 300 affordable rental units to the community. The portfolio includes studios, 1-4 bedroom units, and single-family houses
  • Home Improvement
    The City of Boise's Home Improvement Loan Program is designed to foster safe and sanitary conditions, bring housing up to current codes and help defray maintenance costs.
