Boise's Building Excellence Awards

What are the Building Excellence Awards?

Looking for a way to honor the building owners and managers whose renovations and upgrades make the City's buildings safer, Planning & Development Services started the Building Excellence Award program in 2008. The City partners with the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), who hosts the awards at their monthly meeting each May.

Honoring Building Safety's Unseen Heroes

"Business owners who make significant investments in their buildings to improve their safety, accessibility and sustainability deserve recognition, especially in today's economic times. These folks are the unseen heroes of building safety, investing thousands of dollars on projects that no one sees but which make all of us safer and improve the quality of our lives. These kinds of projects help make Boise the most livable city in the country."

Jenifer Gilliland, Building Division Manager
